The letter changes if you play w/o the patch (or the Taboo-no incest version). It's not explicitly stated who the girls father is but you are implicitly acknowledged as not the father. i.e It's not the same letter with a shitty "Ctrl F" word substitution with "tenants" in lieu of daughter etc making no sense whatsoever. There's an alternative variation of the story.
IIRC, her daughters are destitute, you're rich and as the one person who she believed cared for her (and on her side, kind of a Sarah Conner/Kyle Reece - only 1 night, but love forever kind of deal), she asks that you have it in you to take them in as wards. The girls also have some different dialogues scattered about recognising that MC is under no obligation/acknowledge that it's a huge burden but mom believed that he was their last/only choice or words to that effect, call him guardian (not landlord) etc. The MC's internal dialogue is also different when contemplating the triplets.
It's been a long while, so it's a bit fuzzy (I experimented with no-I for the Dark path figuring it's more "palatable" to go full dark if playing as an MC resenting the fact that children of some subsequent rando have been foisted on him, but it means having to have two copies of the game and that version is currently deleted from my HD.)

OP meant if in the taboo version of the game it could be possible that the girls are not really MC's daughters and Grace scammed him or something. But i strongly doubt there might be such a plot twist

The non-incest version is worse in what it tells. It means another guy got to fuck her not long after MC, got her pregnant and then abandoned her. So her only solution is to send her daughters to her (now rich) one-night-stand from 1x years ago (the guy she met for only one night at the prom)

Edit: Food for thought...to be a landlord, you'd have to be collecting rent from your tenants. Zero cases in all games created does the landlord actually collect rent.

Knocking that guy out at the prom saves the MC from being a stage 5 derp he's still like a stage 4. Every single thing that happens in this story results in endless MC introspection dialog. "But?! I don't understand! What happened? Did I do something wrong? What if this, what if that? Why did she say that? Does she think that..?" A true derp works his magic via endless questions. The question mark is his currency.
I could probably accept this type of thing if the MC was an insecure teenage but he's not. He's a rich 37 year old photographer and business owner who bangs models on the regular. It's not reasonable to see him also presented as an insecure, confused, tentative and fearful derp who finds it impossible to control his own behavior when he sees a pretty face.
Not saying he should be written any different or that other people shouldn't enjoy the character profile. I've said it on other threads but my reaction actually indicates good writing. If an author can provoke an emotional reaction the they are demonstrating a high level of story telling skill. Cheers!
