I was at the Brighton Pier one cold rainy February or March and the guy who was repairing one of the Merry go round or something had this blasting thru the PA. The moment I realized the song has this superbly executed the eternal build up, I stood motionless, absorbing the experience... it's one of those moments that you remember forever. The moment the song ended I asked him what was the song and the band. He had to spell the band for me and the moment I got home I bought the album.
    Fan ever since.

You say, "I love you boy."
    I know you lie
I trust you all the same
    I don't know why
'Cause when my back is turned
    My bruises shine
    Our broken fairytale
    So hard to hide
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
    I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard
    Sitting in a wishing hole
    Hoping it stays dry
    Feet cast in solid stone
    I've got Gilligan's eyes
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
    I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard
    'Cause you said love
Was letting us go against what
    Our future is for
    Many of horror
    Our future is for
    Many of horror
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It sums up a relationship I’ve been in for 24 years - “You say I love you boy, I know you lie, I trust you all the same, I don’t know why.” This opener speaks to many on so many levels, me included. “When my back is turned, my bruises shine.” So powerful, horrid and beautiful at the same time. You say I love you, boy
    I know you lie
I trust you all the same
    I don't know why
'Cause when my back is turned
    My bruises shine
    Our broken fairy tale
    So hard to hide
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
    I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard
    Sitting in a wishin' hole
    Hoping it stays dry
    Feet cast in solid stone
    I've got Gilligan's eyes
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
    I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard
'Cause you said love was letting us go against what
Our future is for many of horror
Our future's for many of horror
    I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
    I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard

The way this song perfectly describes how me & the woman I've loved since I was 19, I'm 34 now is unbelievable. This is our song & she listens to it just as much as me. Over 16 years I've been ripped away from her only to be *"Collided"* back together too many times to count. She is & will always be the woman of my dreams, she's more than I deserve & like a cruel cosmic joke I'm forever fated too be torn from her only to find my way back to her. 3 years just passed without me seeing her & 3 days ago I drove from California to Colorado to see her. Whatever I have left of soul & heart will forever be hers. I love you TMG, now & forevermore.

I just found this on my ipod from 2010. Only reason i cant listen to it is because it reminds me of my ex who is having a kid with her new boyfriend and i cant forget her. We been broken up for 4yrs now. But she's the only girl i love. And this song reminds me of her. Of us. Good song, love it. Just too many feelings.

Man in miss the late 00s early 10s. I was at uni, spent my days at the beach and the evening drinking with friends. Social media wasn’t the monster it is now, the superhero cinema thing was exciting, shops were open and non-delinquent people could be found in the town centres. I had fuck all money but things were more affordable. We’ve entered such dark times.
